Description
It is a crystalline, biocompatible, soft porous hydroxyapatite composite with bone marrow-like characteristics of proven purity, widely tested as a bone graft material and showing no rejection from the body.
Designation
Hydroxyapatite – Ca10[PO4]6(OH)2 – is the major mineral component of bones and teeth in vertebrates. When HAP – 91® is placed in contact with the damaged bone, it acts as a support for regeneration of bone tissue.
Advantages
It is highly hydrophilic and can be used not only directly as a powder but also aggregate to droplets of the patient’s own blood or saline solution. The slurry obtained by the aggregation of the liquid to powder facilitates its implementation and significantly reduces the undesirable migration opportunities or loss of material.
Medullary bone characteristics; the body has no rejection.
Direct application on the spot; Eliminates the use of PRP; Fully metabolized.
