Adult Valve model

The Adult valve has a transparent, medical grade silicone body with a central chamber for pumping and puncturing. The body is flexible with anatomical flat base and low implant profile. The polyacetal connectors lodge a double pressure control system with an anti-reflux  cruciform slit. Each unit is individually tested in multi-flow and pressure test. The valve has no metallic components that can cause interference with CT scans or MRI.

Infantile valve model

Neonatal valve model

The Neonatal model has rigid body, has no pumping chamber and its pressure control device is unique. These characteristics are due to the need to produce a valve with the lowest possible volume compatible with a neonatal infant. The valve has two flaps attached to the silicon body to facilitate its attachment. Each unit is individually tested in multi-flow and pressure test. The valve has no metallic components that can cause interference with CT scans or MRI.

Anti-siphon valve

Sphera valve with anti-siphon is designed to control the cerebral intraventricular pressure independent of the position of the patient, reducing the occurrence of hyper drainage. The Sphera Duo valves were developed for the precise control of intraventricular cerebral pressure. The adult and children’s sizes feature design with low implant profile and flexible body with anatomical shape that follows the curvature of the skull. They are made of transparent silicone medical degree with internal structure in polysulfone. They have central pumpable reservoir with rigid base for protection against bores in the procedures of puncturing and CSF collection. Neonatal size has no pumping chamber because its design prioritizes the minimum profile and volume of the implant. The system when mounted with reservoir connected to the ventricular catheter enables the puncturing and CSF collection. Output connector with anti-siphon mechanism, which prevents excessive drain on postural change situations.

The valve is manufactured in Adult model that comes in 4 pressure ranges: High, Medium, Low and Extra-low. Made with materials that do not degrade in contact with cement.

External Ventricular Drainage Kit

The External Ventricular Drainage Kit is a fully hermetic device which ensures an aseptic derivation of cerebrospinal fluid from the ventricles to a collection bag. It also enables the monitoring of intracranial pressure (ICP) and drug injections. It is commonly used in the treatment and monitoring of cases of Intracranial Hypertension, besides controlling cerebrospinal fluid drainage in patients with ventricular complications and / or bleeding treatments.

External Ventricular Bypass

The external drainage system is indicated for the reduction and temporary control of the intracranial pressure (ICP) via the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the lumbar subarachnoid space to an external collection bag, where the internal bypass implant is not indicated.

The lumbar catheter is implanted in the lumbar subarachnoid spaces and aims to collect the fluid directly from inside the subarachnoid space, leading it to the collection bag through tubing accompanied accessories.
